Choosing a new Energy Supplier in NYC (followup)
The business week during which I sent my initial inquiries out to the different energy supply companies on poweryourway.com is pretty much done.  The results, a bit discouraging. I was hoping at least the customer service departments handling requests from interested parties would be a bit more responsive than the typical wait encountered with Con Edison’s email support, but, as it turns out, there are only a small number of suppliers on the ball.
The initial email was sent out on the 23rd, as of Friday Jan 27th the following companies have not responded with so much as an automated reply to let me know they received my email:
Ferrantino Fuel Corp.
Olympic Power, Inc.
Sterling Planet
Stuyvesant Energy
EConnergy Energy Company, Inc
Hudson Energy Services
U.S. Energy Savings Corp.
For companies who tout years of great service on their sites, from a potential customer’s standpoint, their email response time is, so far, worse than Con Edison. I’ll be sending out a duplicate email to the above companies next Monday as a last ditch effort to get some information out of them, however, I’m not exactly hopeful.
The responses I did receive can be seen in the post comments of “Choosing a new Energy Supplier in NYC.”
